Here is another look I did for my dear friend. It makes it so much easier for me to film knowing who I’m “talking” to. I hope you enjoy. Of course something happened halfway through and the camera stopped filming, how annoying.
Preperation:
Start by washing your hands, you don’t want to clean your face and whilst doing that rubbing other bacteria and dirt on it. So clean your hands and then your face. If you’re not anywhere near water, use a handsanitizer. The one I’m showing in the video is the Herôme Direct Desinfect S.O.S. Handgel (unperfumed).
I use a Clarisonic PLUS Sonic Skin Cleansing System when cleaning my face and because I ran out of the cleanser that came with it I started using and love using the Dove Luscious Velvet Beauty Cream Wash.
If you like to, use a mask before a datenight, I always feel like the makeup looks better after a mask. The mask I’m talking about in the video is by REN and is called the Glycolactic Radiance Renewal Mask. For more information on the brand REN visit their website on: http://www.renskincare.com .
More information on the Glycolactic Radiance Renewal Mask taken from: http://www.renskincare.com/ProductPage.aspx?ProductId=3036

All products used for this look:
Face:
I started with Becca Mineral SPF 30 Primer as a base because it’s a sort of date night look and that means a warm temperature. This primer makes the makeup pretty sweat resistant and that’s what I was looking for.
When using fluids and creams and powders, you should always try to use fluids first, blend the creams into that and finish with the powder. That is why I’m using the Garnier Roll On Anti-dark circles now, I’ll be using a powder foundation on top. As a concealer for any blemishes I used the Make Up For Ever Full Cover Waterproof Extreme Camouflage Cream because this too is waterproof so it will stay on for a long time. This is one of the few concealers that actually stays on this well so if you’re looking for one that is somewhat cheaper, try the Sephora brand, they also have great concealers but do check for one that goes wel on top of your skintype, so no thick creamy creams on an oily skin because then the chances of it slipping of are so much higher. I applied this with my Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage Brush because the shape of the tip makes precice application a breaze. Speaking of Laura Mercier, another concealer I love is the Laura Mercier concealer but that is also a very expensive one. When testing concealers, put some on your hand and then walk out of the store and when you’re done doing all your shopping, see which one survived best.
As a powder foundation I’m using a L’Oréal Paris True Match Super-blendable Powder in the colour W5 Golden Sand and I used a Sephora 45 Mineral Powder Brush to buff that into the skin.
Eyebrows:
I did a brow tutorial very early on (it still is how I do my brows, so read it if you’re curious) I also did another big blogpost about brows where I talk about many different types of brows and so much more, click here to go to that post.
Eyes:
As the base on my eyes I’m using a MAC Paint Pot in the colour Painterly, I’m doing this because I want the eyeshadow to stick and not crease but also to take out the veigns in my skin because the skin on your eyes is very thin so you see blue veigns here very easily. And a final thing is that a cream base (that dries) like this will make the eye shadow last a lot longer.
Normally when I’m doing a brown smokey eye I use only this trio and a matte Vanilla shade, but because my friend wanted a look with the i-Divine Sleek Storm Palette I used those colours on the base colour I used from the Smashbox Shadow and Liner trio in Girls Night Out. The base colour is a brown cream liner, I’m using this over the Painterly because the cream liner without a base will crease, but I do need the darker colour under the eyeshadows I’ll be using.
I’m blending the cream eyeliner onto the skin using a Smashbox no. 15 Definer Brush. If you want you can also use a finger (fingers are tools too ) or another brush. I prefer to use creams with a synthetic brush, but for some reason these cream liners go on perfectly with the no. 15 brush by Smashbox.
I’m using a Flat brush from Eylure (got this for free with a complete set of Girls Aloud Lashes) to pack on the brown colour from the i-Divine EyeShadow Palette with the name Storm. Next I’m using the same colour on the tip of my MAC 217 Blending Brush. I also did the under eye shading with a Sephora Pro Natural Dome Smudge Brush (no. 13).
I’m taking the Models Own Eye Shading Brush to use the lightest colour from the Storm palette on the inside of my eyes. Now this is where the camera cuts off… I’m talking about dimention. When drawing on a piece of paper, the thing that makes it look real is the usage of light and dark, that makes things pop out. The lighter colour on the inside of the eye makes it look brighter and more awake. The shimmer allows the middle of the eye to pop out already. I also used a dome shaped brush to add dome of the darkest matte brown on the outer corner and blended it with a clean 217 brush (if you don’t have two like I do, just clean it off really well on a towel). Matte doesn’t reflect light so pulls back the depth making the outer corner go back somewhat and giving the eye even more shape.
I then used a matte Vanilla Smashbox eyeshadow to start on the highest point of the browbone (under the eyebrow) and I then blended the colour down, this helps with the blending even more. I used an Illamasqua Blending Brush 1 to achieve this. Using a Shu Uemura Eyelash Curler I curled my lashes and added a Make Up For Ever Smoky Lash in Extra Black.
The choice of mascara on your bottom lashes is completely your own. I don’t do it because my lashes are already dark and long and I don’t always like the look. Also it adds extra darkness and it can smudge. But it’s all personal preference.
Cheeks:
On my cheeks I’m using a no longer sold Smashbox Cheek Palette in Close-up and I’m applying this with a MexxColors Powder Blush Brush (also no longer sold).
Lips:
On my lips I’m using a Smashbox Wicked Lovely Collection gloss in Sultry that I rubbed into my lips using my fingers.
On my nails I’m wearing nothing (yes, I’m wearing nothing, isn’t it amazingly odd )
