Hi everyone,
I went to see Snow White and the Huntsman a couple of weeks ago and I LOVED the makeup on the visuals that were in the cinema. I loved it so much that I tried to take a picture even in the bad lighting.
I got home and searched for the original visual picture and on the official website you can find it and on IMDb.
I have the visual for you as well:
Now this isn’t a look I would personally wear everyday, but I wanted to make it an everyday look. So this is my version, I was inspired by this amazing makeup, but I would wear it like this:
If you want to see a video tutorial on how I did this look, click on
I talk about the following products (in order of appearance):
- Illamasqua – Sheer Lipgloss in Electify
- BECCA – Mineral Face Primer SPF 30 (no longer sold, other BECCA primers can be found on their website, click here)
- Giorgio Armani – Luminous Silk Foundation in 5.5
- Dior – Foundation Brush
- Giorgio Armani – Fluid Sheer (colour 10) Golden Beige
- Urban Decay – Eyeshadow Primer Potion (Original)
- Nailpolish by OPI – Shorts Story (Brights Collection)
- Herôme – Ridge Filling Base Coat
- White Konad nailpolish
- M60 Konad Image Plate
- Make Up For Ever – 12 Flash Color Case
- Illamasqua – 4 colour liquid metal palette 02 & 01
- Urban Decay – Shadow Brush
- Sephora – Palette (no longer available, a replacement for the huge palette would be this Sephora – Customizable Eye Palette) If you’re looking for a dupe, look for a shimmery gunmetal grey.
- Smashbox – no. 4 brush (this was the concealer brush, a new concealer brush by them is this Precision Concealer Brush #5)
- MAC – 217 Blending Brush
- Essence – Smokey Eyes Brush
- Laura Mercier Palette (no longer available as a palette, the liner I chose is still available though) – Black Caviar Eye Liner
Of course the camera cuts out here. I drew a very thin line on my top lashline (almost invisible) using the Black Caviar Eyeliner with a little water and an eyeliner brush. This thickens the base of the lashes a little and I’m not going to wear false lashes like Charlize, so this little trick does make them appear thicker.
- Vichy – Dermablend Corrective Foundation in 25 Nude
- Laura Mercier – Secret Camouflage Brush
- Smashbox – Camera Ready Concealer in 2.0 & 3.0
- Urban Decay – 24/7 Glide on eyepencil in Zero
I tell you guys about the Smashbox – Jet Set Waterproof Eye Liner pots. These are AMAZING, they really stay on. But they also stay on your contacts and that is a little less fun so I usually only wear them if I’m wearing my glasses that day.
- Zoeva – Graphic Eyes in Paradise (this came in the May 2012 GlossyBox)
- Shu Uemura – Eyelash Curler
- Maybelline – Volum’ Express® The Colossal Waterproof Mascara
- Stila – Convertible Colour in Orchid no. 05 (the colour isn’t available anymore, but the product itself is)
- Yves Saint Laurent (YSL) – Sensation Soleil MakeUp Palette no. 01 (no longer available through YSL, but you can find it if you google)
- Urban Decay – 24/7 Glide on Eye Pencil in Gunmetal
- Japonesque Palettes
- Urban Decay – Lip Stick in Wanted (no longer available)
- Urban Decay – Lip Junkie – Lip Gloss in Wallflower (I unpotted this from a palette, so don’t try to put any kind of lip gloss in a palette because it will run)
If you’re wondering about my brows, I used no highlight because of the bronzer your natural colour will appear like a hightlight. Another thing is I’m trying to change the shape a little, but slowly lowering the arch and making it fit my “new” face shape better. So bare with me, I might throw in the towel and go back to how it was and it might look a little unruly for a while.
